The present trend of automation anddata interchange in industrial technology is known as Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is altering its next generation of distribution networks by making them more responsive and efficient. There are various issues when implementing Internet of Thing (IoT) devices in an Industry 4.0 scenario, mainly due to reduced IoT nodes or devices with insufficient infrastructure to operate security solutions. As a result, securing the environment will require a lightweight and effective security solution. The authors of this study offer a lightweight and flexible authentication method as part of an access control strategy for secure data exchange in-vehicle networks. Lightweight operations, hash functions, XOR operations, and concatenation are all used in the proposed protocol. The security of this approach is also evaluated using AVISPA. The authentication process between IoT networks and resilience to various security threats will be demonstrated. The experimental analysis shows that the computational cost attained is 7.96 s, and the communication cost attained is 834 bits. Similarly, the resource utilization for this computation is 11%, and the average verification time is 7 ms. The experimental analysis demonstrates that the proposed method is efficient with lower computational cost, communication costs, verification cost, and resource utilization than the existing state-of-the-art approaches

With the proliferation of smart sensors and communication technologies, analyzing power-related data has become increasingly popular in smart grid systems, providing insights into optimal power usage strategies. However, power-related data is often stored and owned by different parties, creating challenges for direct data sharing due to privacy, security, and public safety concerns. In this paper, we propose a novel federated learning framework with personalized recommendations for smart grids that enables collaborative learning of power usage patterns without exposing individual power traces. The proposed framework includes both horizontal and vertical federated learning, which respectively addresses scenarios where data is distributed across the sample space and the feature space. We utilize encoding schemes such as Parlier encoding to ensure lossless and privacy-preserving AI model construction. The proposed framework has promising applications in various aspects of the smart grid, including distributed generation and consumption, electric vehicles, and integrated energy systems. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed framework in preserving privacy while achieving accurate power usage prediction.

Web services is software entity allows machine to machine communication, operates as standalone unit and interoperability over network using standard web technologies such as Hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) and eXtensible markup language (XML). With the rapid growth of cloud platform, infrastructure and emergence of multiple Digital transformation technologies, more and more conventional applications are transformed into web-based services. Service-based approach creates tremendous impact on multimedia content storage, retrieval, delivery and communication. With cloud infrastructure and service, get economically viable, real time, high resolution multimedia content on-the-go anywhere and everywhere using adaptive http streaming approach. This paper presents convergence of adaptive http streaming from conventional infrastructure to cloud enabled model and presents the advancement and architecture of adaptive http streaming delivery as a web-based service delivery approach. The detailed performance evaluation of conventional and cloud enabled service-based approaches were presented, and the metrics were compared from real-time experiment. By analyzing performance indices and characteristics, cloud enabled multimedia service delivery approach poses advantages, gives promising result and better user experience compare to the conventional adaptive HTTP streaming approach.
