Anna Porfireva graduated from the Chemistry Faculty of Kazan State University in 2004. Her PhD defended in 2008 at Kazan State University was devoted to the electrochemical DNA sensors for anti-DNA antibodies detection and to aptasensors for thrombin determination. After that, she worked at the Analytical Chemistry Department of Kazan Federal University, Russia. From 2018, she is an associate professor of the above department. Her research interests cover electropolymerization of dyes and development of the DNA sensors and aptamers for small molecules (drugs and mycotoxins) determination.
