This paper presents a new processing method for denoising interferograms obtained by digital holographic speckle pattern interferometry (DHSPI) to serve in the structural diagnosis of artworks. DHSPI is a non-destructive and non-contact imaging method that has been successfully applied to the structural diagnosis of artworks by detecting hidden subsurface defects and quantifying the deformation directly from the surface illuminated by coherent light. The spatial information of structural defects is mostly delivered as local distortions interrupting the smooth distribution of intensity during the phase-shifted formation of fringe patterns. Distortions in fringe patterns are recorded and observed from the estimated wrapped phase map, but the inevitable electronic speckle noise directly affects the quality of the image and consequently the assessment of defects. An effective method for denoising DHSPI wrapped phase based on deep learning is presented in this paper. Although a related method applied to interferometry for reducing Gaussian noise has been introduced, it is not suitable for application in DHSPI to reduce speckle noise. Thus, the paper proposes a new method to remove speckle noise in the wrapped phase. Simulated data and experimental captured data from samples prove that the proposed method can effectively reduce the speckle noise of the DHSPI wrapped phase to extract the desired information. The proposed method is helpful for accurately detecting defects in complex defect topography maps and may help to accelerate defect detection and characterization procedures.

To simultaneously measure topographies of both surfaces of a transparent plate through wavelength-tuning interferometry at arbitrary cavity lengths, a flexible phase shift matching algorithm (FPSMA) is proposed. The FPSMA includes two parts: 1) taking the four-term third-order Nuttall window as an example, a phase demodulation approach is designed and analyzed for extracting the harmonic phases of the front surface, rear surface, and thickness variation of the measured plate and 2) based on the residual error analysis of the developed $5N$ -Nuttall algorithm for different cavity length coefficients $M$ and the phase-shifting parameters $N$ , a parameter-change technique that allows the developed phase demodulation approach is applied to arbitrary cavity lengths by adaptively changing the phase shifts and frames of the captured interferograms. By this technique, the algorithm failures due to the spectral aliasing of harmonics can be avoided effectively and conveniently, and then the correct phase demodulation can be ensured. Besides, using the developed method, when the values of $N$ or $M$ are chosen in advance, the corresponding available measurement ranges can be given. Besides, the relationship between the window length and the measurement limitation of the measurable thinnest optical thickness is investigated. Considering the common linear and nonlinear errors in the wavelength-shifting process, the error analysis of FPSMA is performed and discussed for situations close to reality. The comparative studies and the experimental results of two transparent parallel plates also support the performance of the developed FPSMA.

During traditional open surgery for liver tumor resection, surgical failures often occur because surgical tools touch the tumor or deviate from the surgical path. To solve these problems, this paper proposes an intelligent early warning system for tumor resection based on surgical navigation. Firstly, to address the issue of collisions between surgical tools and tumors, a safe area for surgical tools to cut tumors is established. A mechanism for early warning of collisions between surgical tools and tumors has been constructed. Secondly, the characteristics of surgical paths of different shapes are analyzed. A mathematical calculation model for the distance of surgical tools deviating from surgical paths of different shapes during tumor resection is proposed. Then, a warning model for the deviation of surgical tools from the surgical path is constructed. Finally, experiments are designed to verify the relevant performance of the early warning system proposed in this paper. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the early warning system proposed in this paper is about 95%, and the scope of tumor resection is controlled within 4 mm.

Flutter is an important form of wind turbine blade failure. Based on damping analysis, synthetically considering aeroelastic vibration instability of the blade and using the parameter fitting method, the aeroelastic flutter model of the pretwisted blade is built, with the simulation and emulation of flap and lead-lag directions flutter of the 2D dangerous cross section realized. Through the construction of two controllers, modular combinatorial sliding mode controller and sliding mode controller based on LMI for parameterized design suppress blade aeroelastic flutter. The results show that a better control effect can be achieved on the premise of the design of the precise parameters of the controller: the proposed sliding mode control algorithm based on LMI can effectively act on the aeroelastic system of the blade, significantly reduce the vibration frequency, and make the aeroelastic system converge to an acceptable static difference in a short time, which proves the effectiveness of sliding mode control in suppressing high-frequency vibration under high wind speed.
