Manuel Aleixandre received his B.E. degree in 2000 in physical science from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Madrid, Spain, and his Ph.D. in 2007 in industrial informatics and automatics from the UNED, Madrid, Spain. He worked in the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Spain, from 2007 to 2011 as researcher. He received a Researcher Excellence Grant from the Euramet from 2011 to 2014, worked in Sgenia from 2014 to 2015 as research engineer and in the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas from 2014 to 2018 as a researcher. Currently he is a Contracted Researcher at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan since 2018. His expertise includes signal processing, gas sensor fabrication, and advanced machine learning techniques.
