This study examines the impact of alcohol blends on the performance and emissions of aviation micro-turbojet engines. Thus, propanol, butanol, pentanol, hexanol, heptanol, and octanol were tested at 10%, 20%, and 30% concentrations and mixed with Jet A, as well as with an additional 5% heptanol blend to preserve base fuel properties, to fuel a JetCat P80 micro-turbojet. Physicochemical properties such as density, viscosity, and elemental composition were analyzed before engine testing. Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from 1 kg of fuel combustion varied, with propanol yielding the lowest at 3.02 kg CO2 per kg of fuel and octanol yielding the highest at 3.22 kg CO2 per kg of fuel. The following results were obtained: alcohol blends lowered exhaust gas temperature by up to 7.5% at idle and intermediate thrust but slightly increased it at maximum power; fuel mass flow increased with alcohol concentration, peaking at 20.4% above Jet A for 30% propanol; and thrust varied from −4.92% to +7.4%. While specific fuel consumption increased by up to 12.8% for propanol, thermal efficiency declined by 1.8–5.6% and combustion efficiency remained within ±2% of Jet A. Butanol and octanol emerged as viable alternatives, balancing emissions reduction and efficiency. The results emphasize the need for an optimal trade-off between environmental impact and engine performance.
In order to respond to the new production models specific to the fourth industrial revolution, a new paradigm of integrated industrial automation and control systems in industry 4.0 management is needed with new web, collaborative and intelligent applications to supervise production processes. The present work represents an analysis of the solutions for the management of production processes resulting from the combination of new technologies and applications conforming to the Industry 4.0 paradigms, in conjunction with SCADA technical solutions for the world of production. The solution that comes with this work is based on the synergy between two concepts, that of cyber-physical SCADA systems and human-centered production, which at first sight may seem antithetical, but which in reality are complementary to each other and actually represent a waysuitable for Industry 4.0. The research method was represented by the systematic analysis of the asynergy of the two concepts found in the specialized web of science literature, as well as corroborated with the real situation in industry 4.0.which is foreshadowed from day to day.

Assessing the performance of academics at different levels is increasingly difficult to achieve using traditional methods based mainly on numerical scores in evaluating teaching and research activity. The indexing of academic performance in various international databases with impact indices at different scales has led to the need for advanced computer models, such as expert systems based on fuzzy logic, proposed in this research, which address the evaluation of teachers even in the face of imprecise information and under conditions of uncertainty. In this research, as a contribution and novelty, a fuzzy logic model was developed in which an algorithm was simulated and implemented in Matlab using the Mandami toolkit, which allows inference of the rules of fuzzy logic and visualization. 3D. The system implementation was done by software in Matlab environment, using systems with fuzzy Mandami logic. The result of this pilot study was to test and validate the proposed model through a graphical interface, giving the results according to minimum criteria and with additional explanations.
Employee engagement is a constant theme in the business world. When employees are successful, so are the companies they work for. The purpose of this article is to bring to the forefront some information that can influence higher organisational engagement and help managers approach open methods of employee relations to get employees dedicated to collaborative work and results. In business, motivation is closely linked to organisational commitment. The higher the level of engagement, the more things like productivity or efficiency can occur, giving the employer more advantages over the competition.
More or less primitive homo sapiens have always secretly dreamt about, or plainly believed in immortality. All cultures had and still have beliefs, traditions, rituals, legends, old stories, and fairy tales about immortality. Unfortunately, as science and technology progressed, human immortality is a remote ideal yet. In addition, as technology development speeds up, it challenges the social nature of humankind; a possible result is people alienation. It is the purpose of this paper to propose a new prospective: opposed to the common feeling that technology alienates people – in their most intimate nature – the authors believe that modern technologies and human nature (defined by its innermost dream of immortality) converge. The ancient human dream of eternal life can be achieved through technology: i.e. human digital immortality. A day will come when the entire technical capabilities will allow personalities to be copied into a computer. Thus immortality could be provided in a virtualized form, heaven being replaced with a super computer.
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems have become critical for companies to save a lot of time and money and connectivity more important than ever in the era of Industry 4.0. That’s why organizations are looking for integrated platforms that can simulate industrial traffic between different locations around the globe. The present work succeeded in simulating data and information traffic through SCADA systems, within the SAFEPIC – 19 project, carried out in different scenarios using SCADA controller simulators (“PLC ladder controller” emulators and communication using Modbus/TCP protocols), “Reconnaissance” attack simulators by scanning addresses and ports to discover vulnerable ports, “Command injection” attack simulators, “Denial of Service” attack simulators.
