This comparative study analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on motorized mobility in eight large cities of five Latin American countries. Public institutions and private organizations have made public data available for a better understanding of the contagion process of the pandemic, its impact, and the effectiveness of the implemented health control measures. In this research, data from the IDB Invest Dashboard were used for traffic congestion as well as data from the Moovit© public transport platform. For the daily cases of COVID-19 contagion, those published by Johns Hopkins Hospital University were used. The analysis period corresponds from 9 March to 30 September 2020, approximately seven months. For each city, a descriptive statistical analysis of the loss and subsequent recovery of motorized mobility was carried out, evaluated in terms of traffic congestion and urban transport through the corresponding regression models. The recovery of traffic congestion occurs earlier and faster than that of urban transport since the latter depends on the control measures imposed in each city. Public transportation does not appear to have been a determining factor in the spread of the pandemic in Latin American cities.

The Circular Economy (CE) is defined as a concept that replaces the end of life of a linear productive process, based on new circular flows of reuse, which also allow for restoration together with renewal in a composite process In this sense, it is considered as one of the key elements to promote the decoupling that arises between economic growth and increasing resource consumption in a new relationship. This study aims to investigate the progress, challenges, opportunities and trends in the Circular Economy (CE) in agriculture in Ibero-America. To this end, a documentary review was carried out to conceptualise the characteristics of the CE and the way in which it has been implemented in Ibero-American countries such as Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Spain and Portugal. Additionally, a bibliometric analysis was carried out, based on the “Scopus” and “Wos” databases, which facilitates the identification of the frequency of writings, number of publications, topics related to CE, key words and authors, among other fundamental criteria, to recognise the importance in the academic and business spheres. This study uses different statistical programmes such as R-tool 4.3.2, R-Package 4.3.2, Bibliometrix 4.0.0, VOSviewer 1.6.18 and Biblioshiny 4.0.0. The results show a growing trend towards the analysis of sustainability and CE processes in agriculture.

Artificial Intelligence has become an essential element for strengthening the business fabric. The advances obtained in recent years as a result of the incorporation of technology for the improvement of productive activities and the positioning of companies in the markets are remarkable. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the origin, evolution and development of business analytics (BA) and its relationship with Artificial Intelligence (AI); from the conceptualization, evolution and identification of the main characteristics and research areas of AI and BA, as well as research conducted and published in journals indexed in Scopus between 2002 and 2022. The aim is to define the incidence of BA in business activities and analyze scientific activity and advances of BA to define new research horizons in this field. For this purpose, a bibliometric and documentary analysis is applied, allowing to highlight the findings that provide recognition and comparison of the results. This will facilitate the understanding of the current dynamics, its importance for organizations, and its impact in the face of the new challenges generated by the requirements of world trade.

This article aims to review the perspective of sustainability adoption in universities through two dimensions: firstly, from the educational and research process, and second, from their global positioning in terms of the performance of their university campus. For this purpose, a bibliometric analysis was carried out, referring to publications dating from 2006 to 2020, using the terms “Sustainability, green universities and curricular sustainability” as search keywords. In addition, an analysis of eight global university rankings was made, gathering information from their official websites on their evaluation fields, indicators, and volume of Ibero–American universities cataloged. The result is that, since 2007, the number of publications on this topic has increased, showing that the participation of Latin American in publications is very low (3.69%). Furthermore, only 12% of Latin American universities are included in world rankings. Sustainability has hardly been integrated into university academic programs; likewise, it is observed that the traditional world ranking of universities mainly take into account factors related to teaching and research, without considering criteria related to sustainability. Moreover, it is essential to develop policies that encourage universities to develop sustainability strategies in their academic and institutional processes in general, as well as in the global university evaluation systems, in order to value sustainability adequately in both in academics, research and institutional performance.

This paper centers on the role and economic effect of the factors that affect the endogenous growth of organizations. To this end, it analyzes the case of Colombian companies, whose economy has been characterized in Latin America by maintaining a traditional economic policy and sectors that seek to maximize the opportunities offered by international markets. This study seeks to identify and analyze the factors that influence the endogenous economic growth of organizations and that allow them to be sustainable over time. For this purpose, adaptation algorithms based on fuzzy logics and supervised and unsupervised learning methods were used, generating an adaptation strategy that allows classifying and knowing the endogenous growth of companies in the Colombian context and identifying the most relevant aspects to take into account. Finally, it was found that most Colombian companies focus their business policies on strengthening human capital, followed by innovation, financial resources and, to a lesser extent, strategic alliances.
