M.C. Cabrera is Associated Professor at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University from 2003. Her research mainly focused on hydrogeology and hydrogeochemistry, especially in volcanic terrains. In the last years, she has worked on the hydrogeological aspects of recent volcanism in El Hierro Island and the affection of wastewater reuse to groundwater in the Canary Islands and Santiago Island (Cabo Verde). She has led nine research projects and participated in twenty. As a result of her research, she has numerous publications as indexed articles, book chapters and congress communications.
