Challenges of Indsutry 4.0 in the context of pandemia requires new competences in accordance to new management models that must be adapted with new technologies and interdisciplinary competencies. Technologies can enhance workers’s skills and support companies in their efficiency improvement by increasing flexibility in production and service processes. The main objective of the research finding analysis presented in the paper is identification of the hard and soft competences that are crucial for the management model in the Industry 4.0 companies seeking solutions to pandemic problems. Sažetak: Izazovi Indsutry 4.0 u kontekstu pandemije zahtijevaju nove kompetencije u skladu s novim modelima upravljanja koji se trebaju prilagoditi novim tehnologijama i interdisciplinarnim kompetencijama. Tehnologije mogu poboljšati vještine radnika i podržati tvrtke u poboljšanju njihove učinkovitosti povećavanjem fleksibilnosti u proizvodnim i uslužnim procesima. Glavni cilj analize rezultata istraživanja predstavljenih u radu je identifikacija tvrdih i mekih kompetencija koje su ključne za model upravljanja u tvrtkama iz industrije 4.0 koje traže rješenja za pandemijske probleme.

Despite constant efforts to improve safety in the railway environment, various accidents and incidents happen, resulting in material damage and in the worst case, loss of human lives. This article emphasises the need for proper identification of risks, their constant monitoring, and evaluation of all causes that arise at railway crossings. Furthermore, this paper aims to apply the Reason model to the problems of railway crossings within the case study on the railway network in Slovakia. The timeliness of the problem lies in the possibility of preventing such issues in the operation of rail transport using this model. Prevention is an effective way of averting the serious consequences of accidents in the future.

The sustainability of services in undertakings which operate in railway passenger transport is closely connected with efforts to provide high-quality and time-acceptable services to the customer, to achieve lean processes, to standardise work processes, to eliminate wastage and to avoid those activities which do not add any value. Considering its ecological nature and big volume of passenger transport, railway passenger transport represents an irreplaceable sustainable system for the future. These facts and the entry of new railway carriers into this system highlight the importance of managing risks in a progressive way. This article focuses on the options of risk management when versatile and flexible tools, such as Lean tools, are set correctly. The aim of this article is to introduce a proposal for the application and a specific application of Lean philosophy in risk management which impacts train delays in railway passenger transport. From the point of view of quantitative data analysis, multiple mathematical-statistical tests have been used to assess data (e.g., Anderson–Darling test, Kolmogorov–Smirnov test, Jarque–Bera test, two-tailed test, Grubbs’s test and Thompson Tau test). Also, descriptive statistics and ANOVA test (Analysis of Variance) have been applied in the process of evaluating the monitored attributes. In order to assess the data dependency, Chi-Square Test and a correlation analysis have been applied. The research outcomes focus on highlighting the need for a systematic approach for train delays and to avoid delays through risk management. The case study applies selected Lean methods to monitor train delays in selected stations within the main railway corridor of the Slovak Republic for the period from 2015 to 2018. In 2019, the results were processed and created a basis for proposing a unique software tool like an aid for risk management in the case of train delays using Lean philosophy. The flexible software includes the participation of employees, and at the same time, it respects the needs of customers. The research results provide grounds for further study of risks in a challenging environment of railway undertakings, with different types of trains, railway stations as well as entire railway networks. The processed results of the article represent valuable material for railway undertakings not only in Slovakia but also for railway organisations in V4 countries.

Currently, the industry is called as Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, where devices, machines, information, organizations and people are connected to the network. Every day meet new solutions for Industry 4.o can be met, but in parallel with these solutions there are also threats in the field of security of industrial networks. Such threats have been called cyber-attacks or cyber threats. Cybersecurity is the global name of a field aimed at counteracting all types of threats on the web. Cybersecurity is to raise awareness, inform, control and introduce solutions to counteract cyber threats. Enterprises, organizations dealing with the promotion of Industry 4.0, IoT, IIoT, form the appropriate groups, departments, companies whose goal is to counteract all types of cyber-attacks. At present, the thesis can be formulated that cybersecurity of the broadly understood network is more important than the implementation of Industry 4.0. The publication will attempt to present the threats that cybersecurity enterprises must face and the ways and methods to counter them.

The right use of creativity and innovation in business leads to increased competitiveness and development in your company. The progressive use of modern technologies and their presence in the economy causes problems in managing these assets and defining intangible property and their protection, which is directly related to the basic processes of making important decisions in the development of the enterprise. Everyday industrial designs (most often: e.g. new packaging designs), trademarks (e.g. product names, advertising slogans, logos) and other technical solutions (utility models, recipes or inventions), which are the result of creative work in company. The lack of protection of the above intellectual (industrial) goods as a consequence often leads to the appropriation of the idea by the competition and their commercialization on the market without the participation of enterprises.

This paper presents the authors' approach to producing customised products. The authors address the support of information sharing and activity synchronization within and between teams. The paper discusses a methodology for modelling data and original software for product data management that includes customers' preferences and specifications. The developed system has the ability to select an activity, as well as machining processes and parameters based on a set of design and production parameters, and to estimate product cost throughout the entire product development cycle. The case study refers to a product type called "energy-efficient windows". Window panes must be delivered to customers in a variety of shapes, dimensions, and materials according to certain specifications. The Access database provides the geometrical data for the next module, the CAD module that is achieved using Solid Works.

In order to achieve the greatest possible equivalence between human resources in a company and desired organisational culture elements declared by a company, it is necessary to interconnect activities within individual functions of human resource management with desired values, attitudes and work behaviour. Such an interconnection is crucial for a positive response of employees to a suitable organisational culture, its embedding in their behaviour and subsequent sharing and spreading of organisational values. This paper will specifically define individual activities related to the adaptation of employees which need to be carried out in this regard. Based on a research conducted between 2011 and 2013, the paper will also define the present state and level of focus of organisations operating in Slovakia on both organisational culture as a whole and organisational culture in the context of employee adaptation.

The Czech Republic is a small landlocked country in the middle of Europe with a relatively high standard of living. The economy is characterized as being open with no large stocks of raw materials or natural resources and heavily dependent on foreign trade. Industrial output is therefore the dominating force in terms of generating gross domestic product. The transportation of raw materials, semi-finished products, and people therefore plays an important role within the economy. The steady increase in tourism has also seen an increasingly stronger relationship develop between the transport and tourism sectors. This article deals with the general standards of transport for tourism as a fundamental element of the tourism industry, which connects the market with destinations. An analysis is made of the transportation sector in the tourism industry and the importance thereof.
