Maria José Angélico Gonçalves holds a PhD at the University of Vigo in Software Engineering based on reusable components, applications in human–machine interfaces, with a distinction Sobresaliente "cum laude", an MSc in and Computer Engineering, at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP), 1996, and a BSc in Computer Science/Applied Mathematics, Portucalense University, 1988. She is Professor of Information Systems at Accounting and Business School of Porto and an integrated researcher at CEOS.PP (Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of P.PORTO). Her main research interests are Information Systems, Knowledge Management, e-Government, Higher Education, and e/b/m-Learning. She has organized several scientific events and has many publications (including books, edited books, book chapters, Scientific Citation Index journal articles, and international journal articles, as well as publications in refereed conference proceedings). She is a member of different international committees and associations.
