Weitao Chen was born in Wugang, Henan, China. He received a B.Eng. degree from the Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, Jiaozuo, China in 2003; he also received his M.E. and Ph.D. from the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China in 2006 and 2012, respectively.
He is currently a Professor with the School of Computer Science, China University of Geosciences. He has published more than 30 articles. His main research interests include machine learning and remote sensing of the environment.
