Sherzod Turaev obtained his PhD in Computer Science in 2010 from University Rovira i Virgili, Spain, and a PhD in Mathematics in 2001 from the National University of Uzbekistan. He was a postgraduate researcher at University Putra, Malaysia from 2009 to 2012, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at International Islamic University, Malaysia from 2012 to 2018, and an associate professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering at International University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2018 to 2019. Currently, he is an associate professor at the College of Information Technology, UAE University. His teaching interests comprise discrete mathematics, data structures, algorithms, programming languages, automata theory, software construction, and testing, among others. His research interests include graph theory, formal languages and automata, bio-computing, and information security.
