Prof. Hongwen He is a professor at School of Mechanical Engineering, and a vice dean of the Graduate School, both at Beijng Institute of Technology. He has focused on theoretical research and technological development in the field of new energy vehicle powertrain and control for over 25 years. He has won two second prizes in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two first prizes in the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (ranked 1st), a first prize in the China Automotive Industry Technology Invention Award (ranked 1st), and two China Patent Excellence Awards. He has also received five provincial and ministerial science and technology awards (three Henan Science and Technology Achievement Awards, one Shandong Science and Technology Achievement Award, and one National Defense Science and Technology Achievement Award). He has been selected as a China National High-level Talent, a New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education, a Young and Middle-aged Science and Technology Innovation Leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and a Science and Technology Innovation Leader of the National Thousand Talents Program. He has published over 200 academic papers and has been selected as a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Global Scientist and an Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Scholar for many consecutive years. In 2021, he was elected a Fellow of the IET.
