A possible solution with which to alleviate the range anxiety of electric vehicle (EV) drivers could be a mobile charging station which moves in different places to charge EVs, having a charging time of even half an hour. A problem that arises is the impossibility of charging in any location due to heavy traffic or limited space constraints. This paper proposes a new operational mode for the mobile charging station through temporarily stationing it at different places for certain amounts of time. A mathematical model, in the form of an optimization problem, is built by modeling the mobile charging station as a queuing process, the goal of the problem being to place a minimum number of temporary service centers (which may have one or more mobile charging stations) to minimize operating costs and the charger capacity of the mobile charging station so that the service offered is efficient. The temporary locations obtained are in areas with no or few fixed charging stations, making the mobile station infrastructure complementary to the fixed charging station infrastructure. The temporary location operational mode, compared to current moving operational mode, is more efficient, having a small miss ratio, short mean response time and short mean queuing time.

Purpose: This paper studies the relationships between air pollutants (PM10, PM2.5, N2O) and different diseases (tumors, skin and respiratory) and the factors influencing air pollutant emissions in Romania. Methods: The methods are Toda-Yamamoto procedure of non-causality Granger test, grey relational analysis and logarithmic mean Divisia index method (LMDI). Results: Air pollutants intensities dropped significantly over 2008– 2017 period due to structural changes. The only economic activity that showed an increase both in volume and intensity of air pollutants, despite a downward trend of farming activities output is agriculture. Technology improvements play a significant role in mitigation of PM2.5 emissions and a moderate role in mitigation of PM10 emissions. For N2O emissions technology used contributed to an increase of N2O intensities. Conclusion: Health policy makers should address the issue of technology improvements and mitigation of agriculture emissions to improve health of individuals and air quality.

We propose a new method of constructing statistical models which can be interpreted as the lifetime distributions of series-parallel/parallel- series systems used in characterizing coherent systems. An open problem regarding coherent systems is comparing the expected system lifetimes. Using these models, we discuss and establish conditions for ordering of expected system lifetimes of complex series-parallel/parallel-series systems. Also, we consider parameter estimation and the analysis of two real data sets. We give formulae for the reliability, hazard rate and mean hazard rate functions.

Rural – urban income gap is an important social-economic development indicator for a society. A large rural - urban income gap within a society reveals a split of it into two distinct societies, one extremely poor compared to the other. In Romania, almost half of the resident population lives in rural areas (46.02% in 2019), while the urban-rural migration flow is higher than the traditional reverse flow since 1997. However, the country is characterized by regional economic disparities, Bucharest-Ilfov region being the most economically developed. Labour market in rural areas is underdeveloped, rural population being highly depended on subsistence agriculture. Furthermore, rural areas have a low level of income and living standards. In this paper, we analysis the rural-urban labour market dynamics and rural-urban income gap using a LMDI (logarithmic mean Divisia index) decomposition for 2005-2019 period. Factors such as income gap effect and structural rural income effect are considered. Results show that the total urban–rural income gap has decreased with 8.91%, while structural rural income effect contributed with an increase of only 0.63%, the income gap effect (of different employed population groups) being of -9.49%.
