Taro Takami received the M.D. degree in Yamaguchi University School of Medicine in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in Yamaguchi University Graduate School of Medicine in 2005. He currently works as a professor at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Yamaguchi University Graduate School of Medicine. His current research interests include regenerative medicine for liver cirrhosis, hepatocarcinogenesis, and regulation of redox status.
