Jasim M. Mahdi is an associate professor in the department of energy engineering, University of Baghdad, Iraq. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and energy processes from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, USA. His research interest is to seek solutions for addressing the mismatch between the energy supply and demand utilizing the latent-heat method of thermal energy storage. He developed an expertise in the area of computational fluid dynamics, renewable-energy systems, thermal energy storage, heat transfer modeling, and design of programming codes in Ansys FLUENT and MATLAB software.
