Jonas Eckardt specializes in tannin and lignin chemistry, with a primary research focus on tannin-based polymers and foams. His experience also includes tannin- and lignin-based wood adhesives and preservatives, as well as the development of bio-based plastics and films. Jonas holds a PhD in Land, Environment, Resources and Health from the University of Padua (TESAF), with a doctoral thesis on tannin-based foams. He previously earned a master’s degree in Forest Products Technology & Management and a bachelor’s degree in Forest Products Technology & Wood Construction from Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.
