Biography

Dr. Karolina Sobieraj is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Bioeconomy at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Poland. She obtained her PhD in 2023 in the discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining, and Energy at the same university. Her research focuses on waste management, bioeconomy, composting technologies, and the production of valuable gases such as carbon monoxide as a precursor for biohydrogen generation. She currently serves as the Principal Investigator of the research project titled “Influence of technological parameters of biowaste composting on the efficiency of carbon monoxide production – the precursor of biohydrogen production.” Dr. Sobieraj is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in the field of sustainable waste treatment and bio-based technologies. She is an active member of the scientific community and has received academic distinctions and research awards for her contributions to environmental engineering.
