My research focuses on the use of zebrafish and other experimental models (human cancer cell lines) to investigate the biological activity of natural products and plant-derived compounds. My main interests include angiogenesis, cancer biology, developmental toxicology, hematopoiesis, and epigenetic regulation, particularly the role of HDAC-associated pathways. I am especially interested in combining phytochemical analysis with molecular, cellular, and whole-organism approaches to identify biologically active compounds and understand their mechanisms of action. My broader research goal is to contribute to the discovery of safer and more effective therapeutic candidates by linking natural-product research with modern pharmacology, toxicology, and disease biology.
