Professor of the University of Oviedo, Spain. In 2012, he received his Ph. D. in Computer Science from University of León (Spain). He has worked in several companies dealing with control and instrumentation projects. From 1998 to 2004 he worked at the Electric and Electronic Department of University of León. Since then, he is a member of the Computer Science Department at University of Oviedo. His research topics includes Hybrid Algorithms applied to Real World Problems, Human Activity Recognition and Event Detection. He has published over 30 papers in JCR journals and more than 100 contributions to international conferences.
