José SENA CRUZ is Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Minho. He is Assistant Director of the ISISE Research Center (members ˜80 members with doctorates; ˜100 doctoral students; funding ˜5M€/year). Specialized in Finite Element Analysis; Computational mechanics; Composite materials and structures; Repairing and strengthening RC structures with composite materials; Testing and constitutive laws; Monitoring; Durability and long-term behaviour of composite materials used in existing and new structures, as well as the development of innovative solutions for sustainable sustainability in- and in the sea. He is the author of more than 300 publications (12 books - 9 as editor, 6 Book Chapters, 65 International Journal Papers - more than 90% are ISI Journals, 12 National Journal Papers, 78 papers in International Conferences, 63 Papers in National Conferences, 82 Monographs and Technical Reports, 6 School books), with h-index of 20. Coordinator of 10 R&D projects, team member of 27 R&D projects. Supervisor of 9 completed PhD theses and 41 completed Master theses. He is a member of the editorial board of the Composites for Construction Journal (ASCE). Member of the fib TG 5.1 and 8.1 committees and CEN/TC250/WG4. Participate in more than 60 conferences, having given 14 lectures as invited speaker. He is a consultant in the areas of inspection, diagnosis and reinforcement of structures, with over 40 consultancy work carried out.
