Roberto Barchino has a Computer Science Engineering degree by Polytechnics University of Madrid, and a Ph.D. by University of Alcalá. Currently, he is Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department of the University of Alcalá, Madrid, Spain and Tutor Professor in the Open University of Spain (UNED). He was Director of an University Master in Information Technology Project Management and responsible for management of virtual innovative academic programs in University of Alcalá. He has been invited (stay in a research institution) by the “Dipartimento di Informatica e Automatica”, University of Rome Tre (Rome, Italy), for five months, also in Aberta University (Lisboa, Portugal) for seven months. He is author and co-author of more than 100 scientific works (books, articles, papers and investigation projects), some of them directly related to Learning Technology. He is also member of the group for the standardization of Learning Technology in the Spanish Official Body for Standardization (AENOR)
