Jianhua Si is a PhD supervisor at the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his bachelor’s degree from Northwest Normal University (2001) and a Ph.D. from the Cold and Arid Regions Environmental & Engineering Research Institute (CAREERI), Chinese Academy of Sciences (2007), where he worked for years as an assistant researcher, associate researcher, and researcher. From June 2013, he spent a year as a visiting scholar at Arizona State University. He has been a member of the Geographical Society of China (GSC) since 2012.
