Healthy residential buildings represent the future of construction concerned with the environment, which is increasingly emphasized. This is directly related to the research and development of environmentally friendly building materials, which on the one hand meet the specific requirements of the builder, and on the other hand do not harm the environment. The research is based on the possibility of achieving increased variability in healthy residential buildings via the customization of recycled polyvinyl butyral using smart technologies for sustainable design. This study has two sub-goals; the first and foremost is the development and adaptation of recycled polyvinyl butyral to increase the elevation of the healthy residential buildings. The second objective is to design a methodology, and create databases and intelligent designs, via knowledge and building information modeling (BIM) technologies. In future research, data on environmental materials (such as the abovementioned recycled polyvinyl butyral) should be implemented in the knowledge databases that will be methodically described in our second sub-target.

Nowadays, in the modern, fast-paced world, customers encounter a considerable range of products and services. They have a wide range of products to choose from, and it is up to them to decide. They often make decisions based on personal values, because they are the ones who know best what is best for them. Customer satisfaction depends on satisfying his needs and desires. If a product fails to meet its needs, it is disappointing, and it is also highly likely that it will no longer want to do business with the enterprise. On the contrary, if the enterprise succeeds in satisfying its needs, the customer is satisfied. Our contribution aimed to increase the possibilities of existing enterprise’s competitiveness with the help of selected internet tools. An enterprise that does not want to be left behind and wants to keep the interest of its customers as well as keep up with the competition will not do without the innovations that are part of every functioning and prosperous enterprise. It is also true that every enterprise should continuously look for new processes, products and opportunities - it should therefore practically implement an appropriate innovation policy.

Life cycle cost management is an integral part of buildings construction. The life cycle cost approach can be considered an objective approach because it considers all life cycles of buildings. Information and communication technology is one of the critical factors for the success of construction projects. Several studies point to the importance of information and communication technology use in life cycle cost management. Generally, information and communication technology can be helpful in the cost management process of buildings. However, few implementation factors of information and communication technology are used in the life cycle cost management of buildings. The research assumes that the most critical implementation factor is the investment cost for information and communication technologies used in cost management during the life cycle. The relative importance index method was used to evaluate and quantify the final rank of implementation factors. The Kruskal–Wallis test was used to confirm or reject research results that were statistically significant.

The paper deals with the simulation of selected activities in the warehouse. Routine logistics activities are the receipt of the goods, the control of the goods, and the goods’ storage in the warehousing system on the side of the entry into the warehouse. On the output side, these are activities such as picking, packing and shipping. The economy of warehouse operations depends on the efficiency of the logistics activities performed and on deployed the technical means. The paper’s main goal is to present a created simulation model for a selected warehouse activity—receipt of goods into the warehouse. This operation involves unloading the goods from the trucks, moving them to the physical receipt, where the quantitative and qualitative control of the goods is performed (acceptance of goods). An analysis of this activity preceded the creation of the simulation model under operating conditions. The research was performed by observing and measuring the forklift’s work cycle, which unloaded pallets from the trucks. The obtained data from the analysis were the input to the simulation model. The EXTENDSIM8 simulation system was used to create a simulation model. The several experiments were performed on the model after its creating and verifying the functionality. The paper evaluates 3 experiments and analyzes their results. The main benefit, novelty, of the article is the simulation of a selected activity for a specific company’s conditions. The experiments results are a reasonable basis for the creation of an operational tool for the company.

Taking climate and geopolitical issues into account, we must shift our thinking towards “eco” and focus on renewable energy. The accessible solar energy represents 400 times the amount of consumption, while its potential represents 10,000 times the amount of demand. The paper aims to analyze recycled, customized polyvinyl butyral (PVB) with high purity (more than 98%) concerning its physicochemical and mechanical properties and its possible applicability in the photovoltaic industry as an encapsulating material. The detailed investigation on polyvinyl butyral starting from characterizations, homogenization, and moulding process to tensile tests and used exposure testing in laboratory apparatus are performed. Samples of recycled polyvinyl butyral were exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation of the value 0.76 W.m–2.nm–1 at 340 nm, water spray, drying at 50 °C and condensation for 320 h when the radiation was turned off. The results obtained were more controlled in a laboratory environment than those found in external, uncontrolled environments. These conditions subsequently accelerate any degradation of polyvinyl butyral as a material and subsequent degradation of the final product.

Geopolymers are materials prepared from alkaline-activated cement without a calcium constituent. They are synthetic materials based on aluminosilicates. The main advantage of these environmentally friendly materials is that they save mineral resources and due to being free of calcium constituents, and only a small amount of CO2 emissions are released into the environment. The circular economy model of sustainable development of new composite materials will ensure the competitiveness of industries, their stable economic growth, and a healthy environment. This paper aims to investigate geopolymer composite materials that were reinforced with a mixture of glass powder from recycled windscreens. The glass 100% circulates in the closed material cycle and can be used again in the manufacturing process without any loss of quality. We are focused on verification of readability of selected automatic identification technology and their usability directly in the manufacturing process of geopolymer composite materials.

The educational process in schools often brings with it courses which are not very interesting for students. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly innovate the educational process, to find new opportunities for students to interact, and to move beyond their limits of knowledge, for example, through information systems. Information systems represent a variety of possibilities for innovation, depending on the type of information and communication technologies used in the educational process. This article refers to the application of information systems, namely the ERP system from the company SAP, the SAP CO module, within the scope of the course Controlling of a Manufacturing Company. The aim of the innovation is to increase students interest in the course and, at the same time, to increase their practical experience in the field of enterprise information systems, which is beneficial for both sides – students and future employees on one hand, and their potential employers on the other.

Nowadays many heavy plastics are being replaced by composites for their application towards weight-to-power ratio. It is identified that by reducing the weight of the automotive we can drastically increase the power of the automobile. Another interesting fact is that the composition of the composite can be changed. We could increase or decrease the elasticity, mouldability, ductility and many other properties by the different production method. There are some parts where a smooth finish is required for user interface and some places were a rough finish is needed for thermal resistance or any other external sources. Generally, the ergonomic of an automobile is really complicated due to its numerous plastic parts which are being replaced by composite but the wear and tear of the composites are really high and cost are high we need to find a material which can resist a lot of wear and tear so that it’s an one-time investment. The main goal of presented paper is to bring simulations software into the educational processes for students with technical focusing and enrich their knowledge. Our priority is to identify high strength fibres (Carbon and Cordenka filler) which are compactable with a thermoplastic, which is lightweight and easily mouldable to the selected component. By the fibres strength and moulding property we can achieve the desired quality as mentioned above.
