Dr. Zuzana Kroneková has a position as a Senior Researcher and is currently working at the Department for Biomaterials Research, Polymer Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovakia. She obtained her Master’s degree at Comenius University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Bratislava, Slovakia, and her Ph.D. at the University of Technology, International Max-Planck Research School, Dresden, Germany. After post-doctoral training at the Maria Curie Sklodowska Institute in Gliwice (Poland), she has been working at the Polymer Institute in the field of Macromolecular Chemistry since 2006, currently at a position equivalent to Associate Research Professor. She is an expert in molecular biology and biochemistry with a focus on biocompatibility and immunocompatibility of newly prepared polymers and biomaterials using cell lines and techniques of molecular biology; peptide synthesis; hydrogel microsphere characterization; hydrogel preparation; microscopic techniques; Raman imaging for the characterization of polymers' spatial distribution; and confocal laser scanning microscopy.
