Prof. Dr. Yi Wang is the director of the Department of Geoinformation Science and Technology at the School of Geosciences and Space Engineering at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), the person in charge of the first-class undergraduate major construction site in Hubei Province, and a member of the tutor group of the Future Technology College. He received his bachelor's degree and doctorate in engineering from the School of Journalism and Communication of Wuhan University in 2002 and the State Key Laboratory of Surveying, Mapping, and Remote Sensing Information Engineering in 2007, respectively. His main research directions include remote sensing technology and application, remote sensing monitoring of geology and ecological environment, intelligent processing of geoscience data, WebGIS, and big data visualization.
