Prof. Dr. Libo Yan is Professor at the Technical University of Braunschweig and Head of the Centre for Light and Environmentally Friendly Structures at Frauenhofer Institute for Wood Research, Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institut. He received his BSc. in Civil Engineering at Chongqing University (China), MSc. in Structural Engineering at Cardiff University (United Kingdom) and PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Auckland (New Zealand). His research areas include fibre-reinforced polymer composites for construction and automotive engineering, timber engineering, sustainable construction and building materials and structures, and bioeconomy and circular economy.
