Mohamed Refaat Elghobashy, Professor of Analytical chemistry at Analytical Chemistry Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. Mohamed obtained the B.Sc. at the Faculty of Pharmacy; Cairo University in June 1996 graded Excellent with Honor. Mohamed was awarded the M.Sc. degree in July 2003 from Faculty of Pharmacy Cairo University, Egypt. The M.Sc. thesis was about analytical study of some anti-inflammatory non-steroidal drugs. Mohamed prepared a Ph.D. thesis entitled “Analytical study on some smooth muscle relaxant drugs: and was awarded the Ph.D. title in December 2006.
The main research interests are focused on ionophore based ion selective electrodes either liquid or solid contacts for analysis of pharmaceuticals and different biological target ions – molecular recognition – spectroscopy – chromatography.
