Assoc. Prof. Dr. Merih ŞİMŞEK received his PhD from Gazi University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Microbiology. She is currently the head of the Department of Medical Microbiology at Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University's Faculty of Medicine. She has numerous international and national publications. She has participated in numerous international and national presentations, conferences, and courses. Her research interests include: medical microbiology, molecular microbiology, bacteriology, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antibiotic resistance, resistance genes, genetic studies, bacterial pathogens, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and the microbiome.
