Dr. Daniel Rico currently works at the University of Valladolid, dept. of medicine, dermatology and toxicology in the field of endocrinology and nutrition. He has a Ph.D. in food science and technology from the Dublin Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in biology from the Complutense University of Madrid. His research experience has been developed mainly in the field of bioactive compounds in food and the effect of treatments on nutritional properties.
He has previously been as postdoctoral researcher at the Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland), as visiting lecturer at Public University of Navarra (Spain) and as researcher at the Agrarian Technological Institute of Castilla y León (Spain).
