Dmitry V. Evtuguin was born in 1963 in Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia (USSR). Graduated in Chemical Technology and Engineering, specialty Chemical Processing of Wood, by Leningrad Forest Technical Academy (LFTA), USSR (1985). Candidate of Chemical Science (PhD) in Chemistry (Wood Chemistry) by LFTA, USSR (1988). Visiting researcher in French school of the papermaking (EFPG) 1990-1991. Associated Professor at the Department of Wood Chemistry of LFTA in 1992-1995. Since 1995, Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Aveiro (UA). Scientific interests are related to the Wood Chemistry and Technology, Pulp and Paper, Biocomposites, Redox Catalysis and Material Science. Supervised of 18 postdoctoral students, 31 PhD students, and 135 MSc students. Coordinated/participated in a series of research projects financed by National and European programs (62 total). Author/co-author of 15 book chapters, more than 300 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, 155 oral and 188 poster communications on the scientific conferences, 16 patents (h index of 60, with 11300 citations, https://scholar.google.pt/)
