Biography

I am a Mechatronics Engineer and PhD researcher in Mechanical Engineering, with interdisciplinary research interests at the intersection of mechanical engineering, structural engineering, computational mechanics, and artificial intelligence. My research focuses on the analysis, modelling, and optimisation of advanced engineering systems and materials, combining numerical methods, finite element analysis, experimental approaches, and data-driven techniques. My research experience includes the mechanical and structural behaviour of steel and stainless-steel components, fatigue and cyclic behaviour, buckling and stability, reinforced concrete and FRP-reinforced structures, as well as the development of computational approaches for structural performance prediction. I am particularly interested in applying machine learning and artificial intelligence to mechanical and structural engineering problems to improve prediction accuracy, design efficiency, optimisation, and reliability. As a Mechatronics Engineer, I have a strong interest in integrating mechanics, computation, automation, and intelligent systems. My broader research interests include mechanical and structural engineering, advanced materials, finite element modelling, fatigue and fracture mechanics, structural stability, machine learning, artificial intelligence, optimisation, reliability analysis, and sustainable engineering design.
