Dr. Mingquan Wu is an Associate Researcher at the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his BS from Chongqing Jiaotong University (2006), his MSc (Joint Training from the Taiyuan University of Technology and Institute of Remote Sensing Applications of Chinese Academy of Sciences) (2009), and his PhD from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2013). From June to December 2016, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Southern Plains Research Institute of the United States Department of Agriculture. His research has won the third prize of the Outstanding Achievement Award for Statistics Research of the National Bureau of Statistics (2012). In 2017, he was selected for the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is mainly engaged in the research of spatiotemporal fusion of multi-source remote sensing data, the application of remote sensing monitoring in major engineering projects, and SDG 7 affordable and clean energy and crops.
