Postdoctoral FAPERJ/PDR-10. Graduated in Nutrition from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro in 2012, Master's (2015) and Doctorate in Food Sciences (2019) from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Operates in lines of research involving extraction, identification, purification, the micro- and nanoencapsulation of bioactive compounds in food, and assesses the effects of these compounds on (1) nitric oxide production; (2) hemodynamic changes; (3) markers of oxidative stress; and (4) gene expression in individuals with risk factors for cardiovascular disease. It also acts in the assessment of the bioavailability of bioactive compounds and their use as a food additive. The research line is developed using high-performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, and real-time PCR as the main analytical methods. It works with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, among other metabolic complications, in addition to sports nutrition.
