Tae-Soo Chon received his Ph.D in the Department of Entomology of the University of Hawaii, USA in 1982 and performed post-doctoral work at the Department of Biomedical engineering, Rutgers University, USA, 1987-1989. He worked as Professor at the Department of Pusan National University 1983–2014. In 2015, he moved to the Ecology and Future Research Institute, Korea as director and serves as a special researcher at the Research Institute of Computer, Information and Communication, Pusan National University, since 2022. His research topics mainly include ecological modeling/informatics and computational behavior.
