Santiago Garcia-Granda. (Asturias, 1955). Full professor of Physical-Chemistry, University of Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. Degree, 1980, PhD, 1984, Postdoc 1985/87, Nijmegen (Holland), with Professor Paul T. Beurskens. SYSTAM Research Group at the Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry and the CSIC Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology Institute (CINN). Specialist in synthesis, structural determination, diffraction, crystallography and calculations. Leading about 50 research projects, including European Framework Programs. President of the European Crystallographic Association (ECA) and Ordinary Member of the Executive Committee of the IUCr, 2014/21. Rector of the University of Oviedo, since 2016/21. Co-Author of more than 800 articles, several book chapters and conferences and supervisor of 21 approved PhD theses, on Physico-Chemical studies of the molecular structure, crystallography, diffraction and methods of calculation. Co-author of the Crystallography Program DirDif cited more than 3000 times. H Index 50.
