As the basis for the static security of the power grid, power load forecasting directly affects the safety of grid operation, the rationality of grid planning, and the economy of supply–demand balance. However, various factors lead to drastic changes in short-term power consumption, making the data more complex and thus more difficult to forecast. In response to this problem, a new hybrid model based on variational mode decomposition and long short-term memory with seasonal factors elimination and error correction is proposed in this article. Comprehensive case studies on four real-world load datasets from Singapore and the United States are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed hybrid model. The experimental results show that the prediction accuracy of the proposed model is significantly higher than that of the contrast models.

Smart Grid 2.0 is the energy Internet based on advanced metering infrastructure and distributed systems that require an instantaneous two-way flow of energy information. Edge computing benefits from its proximity to the servers and edge nodes of the smart grid distributed systems, which can provide efficient and low latency information transmission to the smart grid. With the massive number of Internet of Things being used, the amount of real-time power usage information generated by that represents a huge challenge for edge computing. To improve the efficiency of information transmission and processing in power systems, this article combines different deep learning algorithms with edge computing to analyze and process distributed renewable energy generation and consumer power data in smart microgrid. Experiments on two real-world datasets from China and Belgium show that the proposed framework can obtain satisfactory prediction accuracy compared to existing approaches.

Aviation activities are constantly increasing as a result of the growth of the global economic system. How to increase airspace capacity within the limited airspace resources while ensuring smooth and safe aircraft operations is a challenge for civil aviation today. Air traffic safety is supported by accurate trajectory prediction. The way-points are relatively sparse, and there are many uncertain factors in the flight, which greatly increases the difficulty of trajectory prediction. So, it is vital to enhance trajectory prediction accuracy. An attention-LSTM trajectory prediction model is proposed in this paper, which is split into two parts. The time-series features of the flight trajectory are extracted in the initial stage using the long-short-term memory neural network (LSTM). In the second part, the attention mechanism is employed to process the extracted sequence features. The impact of secondary elements is reduced while the influence of primary ones is increased according to the attention mechanism. We used the advanced models in trajectory prediction as the comparison models, such as LSTM, support vector machine (SVM), back propagation (BP) neural network, Hidden Markov Model (HMM), and convolutional long-term memory neural network (CNN-LSTM). The model we proposed is superior to the model above based on quantitative analysis and comparison.

Various applications of the Internet of Things assisted by deep learning such as autonomous driving and smart furniture have gradually penetrated people’s social life. These applications not only provide people with great convenience but also promote the progress and development of society. However, how to ensure that the important personal privacy information in the big data of the Internet of Things will not be leaked when it is stored and shared on the cloud is a challenging issue. The main challenges include (1) the changes in access rights caused by the flow of manufacturers or company personnel while sharing and (2) the lack of limitation on time and frequency. We propose a data privacy protection scheme based on time and decryption frequency limitation that can be applied in the Internet of Things. Legitimate users can obtain the original data, while users without a homomorphic encryption key can perform operation training on the homomorphic ciphertext. On the one hand, this scheme does not affect the training of the neural network model, on the other hand, it improves the confidentiality of data. Besides that, this scheme introduces a secure two‐party agreement to improve security while generating keys. While revoking, each attribute is specified for the validity period in advance. Once the validity period expires, the attribute will be revoked. By using storage lists and setting tokens to limit the number of user accesses, it effectively solves the problem of data leakage that may be caused by multiple accesses in a long time. The theoretical analysis demonstrates that the proposed scheme can not only ensure safety but also improve efficiency.
