Angelo Pietrobelli is a Full Professor of Pediatrics and Full Professor of Nutrition at the University of Verona, Italy. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, Baton Rouge, LA, USA. He received an M.D. from the School of Medicine and Surgery, University of Bologna, in 1992. He served as a ​Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at The Obesity Research Center, St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center, Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, New York, NY, USA, from October 1995 to June 1998. He became the Senior Physician of the Pediatric Clinic and Staff Physician in Premature Intensive Unit Care at Verona University Medical School in June 1998. He is the leader of the Unit called "The first 1000 days as a prevention of non communicable diseases". He has more than 300 scientific international papers with an h-index factor of 59 and more than 15,000 citations to his work (Scopus, 21 December 2023).
