Prof. Dr. Borja Velázquez Martí is a doctor of agricultural engineering and a university professor. He teaches topics in renewable energy and bioenergy. He is the current director of the Department of Rural and Food Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain). His research work focuses on the quantification, logistics, and management of biomass for energy, as well as energy use facilities.  He is the author of six books. He is currently the coordinator of the IBEROMASA network, of the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED), involving 19 participating countries and over 165 researchers.
