Higher education service quality and performance in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) is critical for developing human capital for economic survival; however, the effects of service quality on organisational performance are still unclear. Furthermore, neglecting employee soft factors and ignoring higher education-specific models have hindered efforts to develop a comprehensive model for service quality excellence in order to improve higher education performance for organisations. This study aims to assess higher education service quality based on a modified higher education performance (modified HEdPERF) model, as well as consideration of the mediating effects of soft factors (i.e., job satisfaction and organisational commitment) in Malaysian polytechnic institutions. Based on random sampling, 214 department heads from 33 polytechnic institutes in Malaysia participated in this study. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaires and were analysed using AMOS. The results uncover that service quality significantly affects job satisfaction, thus positively affecting organisational commitment, which enhances organisational performance sustainability. The findings also reveal that job satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between service quality and organisational commitment. Similarly, organisational commitment fully mediates the relationship between job satisfaction and organisational performance sustainability. The results have important implications for enhancing organisational performance sustainability in a TVET context when implementing the modified HEdPERF service quality model with simultaneous attention paid towards employee soft factors.

Smart retail technologies are reshaping the retail landscape by integrating advanced digital innovations such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and automation into consumer shopping experiences. These intelligent systems, which include features like automated checkouts, AI-driven product recommendations, and smart shopping carts, promise to enhance operational efficiency and deliver personalized, seamless customer interactions. However, despite their potential, consumer intention to adopt such technologies varies significantly across different markets and cultural contexts. This conceptual paper investigates the underlying antecedents influencing consumer intention to use intelligent retail systems by synthesizing insights from established technology adoption theories including the Technology Acceptance Model, the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, and hedonic motivation theory. Through a systematic review of 93 recent studies on smart retail technologies, this study identifies various influential factors such as trust, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, animacy, emotional engagement, and motivational drivers. The paper also highlights global trends in smart retail adoption while emphasizing the unique challenges and opportunities in emerging markets such as Malaysia. By proposing a comprehensive conceptual framework, this study offers theoretical and practical insights for designing consumer-centric intelligent retail solutions that foster greater acceptance and sustainable engagement.

Citizen-centricity satisfaction is a recent phenomenon spreading around the world. It is of growing interest to scholars and many papers are focused on this area. This paper aims at revealing factor that predict a citizen satisfaction during pandemic outbreak in public service delivery. A massive number of theories and past scholars have carried out studies on the factors influencing citizen satisfaction, which resulted in a list containing large volume of variables. There was a need to generalize factors that capable to form a universal citizen satisfaction model. This research utilizing citizen-centric demands of transformational government model as the theoretical foundation in citizen satisfaction in public service context. 346 citizens conveniently were selected as respondents, at the same time as information become amassed via online surveys. The information become then analyzed via the use of AMOS software. The structural equation modelling (SEM) was executed to develop the measurement model. The results exhibit that goodness of fit, construct reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity achieved the overall fitness threshold to model citizen satisfaction. This research contributes to shed light on the literature via examining the elements of citizen-centric demands of transformational government model namely openness, responsiveness, transparency and participation in citizen satisfaction.
Scholars have acknowledged the influence of university support on students’ entrepreneurial intention and behavior. However, the extended literature showed the relationship between university support and social entrepreneurship intention to be inconsistent. To further the understanding of this issue, this paper attempts to examine how university support influences social entrepreneurship intention among 206 university students in Malaysia. Through a structural equation modelling analysis, the authors confirmed that university support - business development support, concept support and education support directly and indirectly related to attitudinal constructs and intention. Overall, this research suggests university should be a great platform for students not only to excel in entrepreneurial theory but also in practicality to capture entrepreneurial opportunities.

Enhancing fruit consumption seeks to elevate the fruit industry while tackling elevated incidences of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and obesity. This research aims to establish a framework derived from a literature review to elucidate the elements affecting customer propensity to purchase fruits. A comprehensive literature review on the intention to purchase fruits was conducted to establish a conceptual framework that delineates the relationship between consumption values, attitudes, and fruit purchasing intentions. The research demonstrates that possessing positive consumption values may foster a favorable attitude that results in customers' inclination to purchase fruit. The conceptual model will aid practitioners in understanding the influence of consumer consumption values and attitudes on boosting purchasing intentions. Future study should include quantitative and structural equation modeling (SEM) to validate the effects of the proposed framework and hypotheses.
