Platinum (Pt) resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) are extensively employed as thin film temperature sensors. However, agglomeration of Pt thin films occurs above 800°C due to grain boundary grooving on the free surface, ultimately limiting its application at high temperatures. In this work, a Pt RTD was prepared by depositing multilayer Al 2 O 3 protective layer on Pt thin films using electrodynamic jet printing (EJP) technology. The surface morphology and energy dispersive spectroscopy spectrum of Pt thin films indicated that the voids on the surface are reduced, the grains growth are inhibited, the movement and grooving of grain boundaries are limited. The test results indicate that the Pt RTD has not failed after 6 cycles of repeated warming and cooling from 800°C to 1300°C. After repeated cycles, the initial resistance of the Pt RTD with a rate of change of less than 0.5%. In addition, the maximum relative deviation of the resistance in a single cycle is less than 1.6%. The Pt RTD with an 18-layer Al 2 O 3 protective layers has undergone 12 cycles without failure, indicating a cycle life exceeding 10 h. Pt RTDs are stable over the range of 25°C to 1400°C with correlation coefficients R 2 greater than 0.999, showing good linear correlation. It can withstand temperatures up to 1440°C when printed with 18 protective layers. Compared to a Pt RTD without protective layers, the operating temperature is increased by 40%. This advancement provides a viable solution for the high-temperature monitoring of hot end components in aerospace applications.
This paper describes the design of a piezoelectric-driven hydraulically amplified Braille-flexible bump device that enables the flexible formation of Braille characters. A piezoelectric vibrator is used to excite fluid resonance in a cavity, and displacement is realized by compressing the fluid, allowing Braille character dots to be formed. First, the structural design and working principle of the device, as well as the method used to drive the fluid, are explained. Expressions for the output displacement and amplification ratio of the flexible film and piezoelectric vibrator are then obtained through kinetic analysis of the system unit. Subsequently, the structural parameters that affect the output displacement and the liquid amplification are described. Finally, experimental tests of the system are explained. The results indicate that the output displacement of the contact formed by the flexible film reaches 0.214 mm, satisfying the requirements of the touch sensitivity standard for the blind, when the fluid cavity diameter measures 31 mm and the resonance frequency is 375.4 Hz. The corresponding water discharge is 8.8 mL. This study proves that constructing a Braille bump device in this way is both feasible and effective.
To solve the problem of the small deformation of piezoelectric vibrators and improve the overall performance of piezoelectric micropumps, a flexible-diaphragm piezoelectric micropump is designed based on hydraulic amplification. The micropump uses a piezoelectric vibrator to provide its driving force, and fluid is delivered by driving the liquid to amplify the displacement of the piezoelectric vibrator. First, the working principle of the piezoelectric micropump is analyzed, and then theoretical analysis and displacement output tests of the hydraulic amplifier unit are carried out. The test results are consistent with those of the theoretical analysis, and the amplification factor of the hydraulic amplifier unit is 3.29. Finally, prototypes are produced and an experimental platform is built for testing. The results indicate that the best-performing piezoelectric micropump has a self-priming height of 1200 mm, an output pressure of 22.16 kPa, and an output flow of 23.18 ml/min. Compared with an ordinary piezoelectric pump, the overall performance of the piezoelectric micropump is greatly improved.

To realize the harvesting of energy generated by human movement, in this study, a piezoelectric–electromagnetic composite was designed for harvesting the energy generated by low-frequency human motion is designed by combining the principle of power generation and electromagnetic energy conversion of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) piezoelectric materials. First, the structure and working principle of the piezoelectric–electromagnetic composite energy trap were designed and analyzed. Next, the system dynamics model of piezoelectric–electromagnetic coupling power generation was established, and the main influencing factors of the composite energy trap were derived. Moreover, the influence of PVDF piezoelectric materials with different size parameters on the output voltage and the influence of the frequency of the moving permanent magnet on electromagnetic power generation were analyzed. Finally, the prototype was constructed and tested. The results revealed that the output voltage of the piezoelectric–electromagnetic composite energy trap placed horizontally is higher than that of the composite energy trap placed vertically at step frequencies of over 90 steps/min, and the maximum output voltage is 25.6 V at the step frequency of 140 steps/min. The electric energy generated by the composite energy trap can supply power to low-power electronic devices, thus demonstrating the feasibility of collecting human-motion energy for power generation.
With the popularization of integrated circuits, MEMS, and portable electronic devices, chemical batteries have many disadvantages as the main energy supply method, such as large size, high quality, and limited energy supply life, requiring regular replacement, resulting in waste of materials, environmental pollution, and other issues. From the above reasons, energy harvesting technology plays an important role in improving the efficiency and life of electronic equipment. In order to explore the influence of the bimorph piezoelectric vibrator’s structural parameters on the power generation capacity, this paper establishes a cantilever beam rectangular bimorph piezoelectric vibrator power generation model, derives the mathematical expression of the bimorph piezoelectric vibrator power generation, and determines the parameter factors that affect the power generation effect. Using MATLAB simulation analysis to obtain the influence relationship curve of system output voltage and structural parameters, the experiment tests the influence law of output voltage and thickness ratio, width‐to‐length ratio, and Young’s modulus ratio; the test results are consistent with the theoretical analysis, verifying the theory and the correctness of the analysis. The results show that when the thickness ratio is 0.58 and the width‐to‐length ratio is 1, the power generation effect of the piezoelectric vibrator is the best to reach 14.5V; the power generation capacity of the transducer is inversely proportional to Young’s modulus ratio. This research provides a new idea for the popularization of integrated circuits, MEMS, and portable electronic devices.
