Young-Kuk Kim received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Computer Science and Statistics, Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 1985 and 1987, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA, in 1995. Since 1996, he has been with the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Chungnam National University, Daejeon, Republic of Korea, where he is currently a Professor and leads the Smart Data Laboratory (SDLab) and the Bio-AI Convergence Research Center. His research interests include real-time smart computing, context-aware recommender systems, trustworthy and edge AI, and domain-specific AI convergence.
