Prof. Georgios Kolliopoulos serves as a professor and director of the SuperMET research group in the Department of Mining, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering at Université Laval in Québec, Canada. His research is centered on the development of sustainable extractive metallurgy processes characterized by zero liquid discharge, with a particular focus on environmental hydrometallurgy pertaining to critical and strategic metals, the recovery and treatment of water and industrial wastewater effluents, and the valorization of residues and electronic waste.
