Ahmed Mohamed Al-Abd is a professor of pharmacology and toxicology working at the Life Science Unit head at Nawah Scientific (Amsterdam, Netherlands). He holds a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences (2008, The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul, South Korea); and a second Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology (2011, Beni-Suif University, Egypt). Since graduation, he has been promoted in the field of research/academia from research assistant to research professor at the National Research Centre of Egypt. He worked for 6 years as an assistant/associate professor at King Abdulaziz University, KSA. In addition, he worked as a visiting scholar at Bouvé College of Health Sciences, Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA (from 2014 to 2018). Since then (from 2018 to 2022), he has been working as an associate professor/professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the College of Pharmacy and as a joint professor at the Thumbay Research Institute of Precision Medicine, Gulf Medical University, United Arab Emirates. From 2020 to 2022, he served as associate dean academic at the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University, United Arab Emirates. As of March 2023, he has authored/co-authored more than 65 peer-reviewed publications and four books/book chapters with a Scopus H-index of 26. In addition, he is an editor in 6 peer-reviewed International Scientific Journals.
