My research is focused on the development of advanced functional materials at the intersection of nanotechnology, biomedicine, and crystals engineering. I specialize in luminescent, metal-doped fluorapatite nanocrystals for biomedical applications such as bioimaging and antimicrobial agents. In parallel, I explore the sustainable biosynthesis of nanomaterials using microorganisms for eco-friendly metal recovery from mining waste. Additionally, I am involved in the development of novel materials and technologies for environmental protection and solar energy conversion. My work bridges fundamental and applied research through an interdisciplinary approach.
