Previous research has emphasized the need to further investigate the impact of ISO 9001 on company performance in the manufacturing sector of developing countries. Indonesia is one of those developing countries where the implementation of ISO 9001 is yet to be adequately researched. The Indonesian automotive manufacturing industry is still unable to compete with Malaysia and Thailand even though many companies have implemented ISO 9001. This study aimed to examine the relationship between ISO 9001 and operational (productivity, customer satisfaction, and product quality) and business (sales growth, profit rate, and market share) performance of Indonesian automotive component manufacturing industries. It also aimed to identify major obstacles in the effective implementation of ISO 9001. Multiple linear regression analyses about operational and business performance were employed for this purpose. The sample size comprised 50 automotive component manufacturing industries located in the Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi region of Indonesia. The study demonstrates that the implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system has a significant positive impact on the operational performance as well as the business performance. Additionally, the operational performance has a significant positive impact on the business performance. This study also reveals the major obstacles in the effective implementation of ISO 9001 in the manufacturing industry, which include a lack of qualified personnel, inadequate training, employee resistance, and lack of commitment among top-level management executives. It offers clear implications for managers who focus on elements that will enhance the effectiveness of ISO 9001 implementation by choosing the correct strategies, allocating sufficient resources, and improving their firm's performance. The novelty of this study lies in filling the existing research gap, which involves a detailed examination of the relationship between the implementation of ISO 9001 and the company's performance, particularly in manufacturing industries of developing countries.

This study explores the obstacles to electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Indonesia, focusing on technological, environmental, economic, and regulatory factors. Despite government initiatives, such as the Presidential Regulation 55 of 2019, intended to encourage the adoption of EVs and mitigate air pollution, the EV market share in Indonesia remains low, at 1.47%. The main challenges include inadequate charging infrastructure, limited public revenue, and financial constraints. This research highlights the need for improved government policies, incentives for producers, and increased public awareness to encourage EV adoption. Factors influencing consumer decisions include operational costs, environmental concerns, and the availability of charging stations. Key findings suggest that electric motorcycle users have a lower understanding of technology than electric car users, with particular attention to initial costs, maintenance costs, and the accessibility of charging infrastructure. This study recommends that manufacturers and policymakers consider the different preferences of electric car and motorcycle users in their EV adoption promotion strategies. The study seeks to elucidate the determinants affecting EV adoption in Indonesia and propose potential solutions to accelerate the transition to electric mobility.

Startup companies, as an organization in the early phase, have different characteristics than mature organization. The research method is qualitative because the purpose is trying to understand the startup characteristics. The research object is Indonesia fashion startup companies because it is one of the most promising start ups in Indonesia. Strategy choices are crucial in fashion startups in Indonesia. Objective of this paper is to analyze the strategy that has been used in fashion startups in Indonesia. Most of the startups use intuitive decision making. The result is most fashion startups tend to use intensive strategy because the market is still growing. Intensive market penetration through marketing strategy and related diversification are the two strategies that commonly used in fashion startups in Indonesia.

Previous research has emphasized the need to further investigate the impact of manufacturing complexity on company strategies and performance in developing countries' manufacturing sector. Indonesia is one such developing country where this relationship has yet to be adequately studied. The manufacturing industry sector is expected to drive Indonesia's economic growth to achieve the targeted average growth of 6% per year in the next five years. This study aimed to examine the relationship between manufacturing complexity, manufacturing strategies (cost, delivery, flexibility, and quality), and manufacturing performance of Indonesian automotive component manufacturing industries. Partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed in the investigation. The sample size comprised 72 automotive component manufacturing companies located in the Jakarta region. Results indicated that the higher the value of manufacturing complexity, the higher the manufacturing strategies should be prioritized. The manufacturing strategy related to quality, particularly, has a significant positive impact on manufacturing performance. The novelty of this study lies in its detailed examination of the relationship between manufacturing complexity, manufacturing strategies, and manufacturing performance, particularly in developing countries. The results are expected to fill the existing research gaps.

Electronic waste (e-waste) has become one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world. However, only 17.4% of it can be collected and recycled in 2019. This study aims to formulate strategies to improve the supply chain of e-waste management in Indonesia. Methods used to develop strategies in this study are the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL), the Analytical Network Process (ANP), Strength–Weaknesses–Opportunities–Threats (SWOT), and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results show that infrastructure criteria have the largest weight, that is 0.267, followed by a social environment with 0.261, regulation with 0.244, stakeholder with 0.122, and economy with 0.054. The top priority of the selected strategies is to improve public education (ST1) and provide socialization of regulations and sanctions to the public (ST2).

Automotive industry is believed to be the pioneer in pushing the growth of manufacturing industry in Indonesia. By implementing manufacturing strategy, the industry will get its performance improved. Automotive component manufacturer is an important part of automotive industry. This research discusses the relationship between influential variables with performance in Indonesia automotive component manufacturer namely manufacturing capability and manufacturing strategy. A model is developed and data are collected from automotive component manufacturers around Jakarta area. Data is processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result shows that manufacturing capability significantly influences manufacturing strategy while manufacturing strategy also significantly influences performance of Indonesia automotive component manufacturer
