The article presents the theoretical research on hydraulic processes occurring in hydraulic drives of transport machines. The research analysed the influence of hydrodynamic processes on the fluid flow characteristics following installation of angular fitting connections in pipeline systems. The analysis was based on the numerical simulations by Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations in 3D. The fluid flow in the hydraulic system pipeline connections were investigated for fluid flow rate up to 100 l/min. For numerical simulation, a mesh independence study was performed. By modeling. we obtained results of pressure drops, turbulence models, flow coefficients and energy losses at 45° and 90° angular fitting connections. The article compares the results obtained using the calculation method based on the standard of equivalent length fitting with the findings presented. The research conducted indicated that using the equivalent length method is not appropriate for studying angular fitting connections. It was found that additional investigations are necessary for each type of angular fitting connection.

The purpose of this research is to determine the vertical vibration and frequency spectrum transmitted to the rider by electric scooters travelling on different types of road surfaces. Vibration analysis involves the measurement of vibration levels of e-scooter elements, accompanied by the analysis of the Fourier Transform Spectrum and using a t-sample measurement design and a one-sample statistical method. Approach in the research allows overall driver comfort to be assessed through frequency and vibration analysis, considering vibrations received by the hands and the whole body. In addition, the natural frequencies of the electric scooter components and their stability are being investigated to assess vibration transformation. The study includes an assessment of ride comfort and considers potential health implications. The results obtained facilitate the identification of critical risks associated with vertical vibration frequencies transmitted to individuals when riding electric kick-scooters in urban areas with different types of pavements.

This paper identifies mechanical vibrations occurring in the operating environment of hydraulic systems used in marine engineering. Particular attention was paid to the influence of periodic vibrations on changes in the amplitude-frequency spectrum in a marine hydraulic system. For the case of analysing the effect of vibration on changes in the pressure pulsation spectrum with a proportional directional valve, a modified mathematical model was used. Experimental results were presented and compared with the results obtained from the mathematical model. A way of limiting the transmission of vibrations to the directional control valve body was proposed.

This study investigates the vibrations of centrifugal loop dryer machines used in plastic recycling processes. These machines are characterized by large uncertainties, high vibration, and unmodeled dynamics, making the design and maintenance of real-time state estimators for their operational conditions difficult. The present study includes an analysis of the centrifugal loop dryer machines’ vibration characteristics and their influence on operation results based on vibration analysis, frequency response analysis, and expert advice. Two identical loop dryers installed and operated in parallel in a single recycling line were investigated. Measurements were performed using a two-sample measurement design and based on a one-sample statistical method for estimating uncertainty in repeated measurements of data processing. Additionally, a problem connected with incorrect machine operation during high vibration, resulting in insufficient drying of loaded material, was investigated. This was defined as a situation in which some melted plastic is still too wet after mechanical drying, caused by the incorrect installation of damper elements of the holding elements. Finaly, it is recommended that a correction of the machine installation and a control measurement are carried out to determine whether the vibration in the base of the machine still exists. A simplified theoretical vibration analysis of the rotating machine was also carried out in the present paper.

Selecting the most resilient supplier is a crucial problem for organizations and managers in the supply chain. However, due to the inherited high degree of uncertainty in real-life projects, developing a decision-making framework in a crisp or fuzzy environment may not present accurate or reliable results for the managers. For this reason, it is better to evaluate the potential suppliers in an Interval Type-2 Fuzzy (IT2F) environment for better dealing with this ambiguity. This study developed an improved combined IT2F Best Worst Method (BWM) and IT2F technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) model “Atieh Sazan” Co. as a case study, such that the IT2FBWM was employed for obtaining the weight of criteria. The IT2FTOPSIS was utilized for ranking the potential suppliers based on Hamming distance measure. In both phases, the opinions of experts as IT2F linguistic terms were employed for weighting the criteria and obtaining the relative importance of the alternatives in terms of the evaluative criteria. After obtaining the final results, the proposed model was validated by replacing Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) approaches separately instead of BWM for weighting the criteria. After executing both new models, it was found that the final ranking was similar to the final ranking of the proposed model, representing the reliability and accuracy of the obtained results. Moreover, it was concluded that the resilient criteria of “Reorganization” and “Redundancy” are the most determinant measures for selecting the best supplier rather than measures in the Iranian Construction Industry.
