Paulo Portugal (Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Faculty of Engineering (FEUP), University of Porto (UP), Porto, Portugal, in 2005. He is currently an Associate Professor of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (DEEC), FEUP, UP. His current scientific interests include industrial communications and dependability/performability modeling.
