Master's in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on Automation, Control and Robotics, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro. Computer Engineer from the State University of Feira de Santana, Bahia. He coordinates the Advanced Applications and Networks Lab (LARA) and the Embedded Systems and Microcontrollers Lab (LASE). His research interests are in the areas of Dependability Assessment, Embedded Systems, Wireless Sensor Networks, Smart Cities and Fault Diagnosis in Discrete Event Systems.
