Prof. Dana Ortansa Dorohoi graduated in Physics in 1968 and in Mathematics in 1972 at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania, and she obtained her PhD degree in Physics in 1978. Currently, she is an Emeritus Professor at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. Her current interdisciplinary research activity is focused on the optical and spectral proprieties of thin anisotropic layers and the determination of some electrooptical parameters of the molecules from the solvent influence on their electronic spectra. She has more than 225 articles in Web of Science, and she has written 15 books. She is a member of the Romanian Society of Pure and Applied Biophysics and of the Romanian Society of Physics.
