Dr. eng. Cornelia Bandas (née-Ratiu) is a senior scientific researcher at INCEMC Timisoara, Department of Condensed Matter, and her main expertise is in the topic of synthesis and the application of TiO2-composite materials for electrode development, applied in photo-electrochemical processes, for the degradation of phenol compounds from water. Dr. Bandas continued her research in the field of micro-nanonostructured materials based on TiO2, electrochemical and photoelectrochemical techniques for materials applications, the development of conventional and nonconventional synthesis methods, and for developing synthesis installations for obtaining new materials with multiple applications (electrochemical sensors, solar cell, decontamination).
